On Sunday 10 February 2008, an Akwaya
Relief Fund Teleconference took place in Continental North
America to raise FUNDs for the Akwaya
Crisis which thanks to Father David N. Fomanka we ALL
read about.
A
summary of Father Fomanka’s neutral on the spot
reporting of the Akwaya crisis was presented and a
general discussions with emphatic sympathy for the plight of the Akwaya people. All participants
made monetary pledges. Most importantly, it was decided that ALL
FUNDS collected for the AKWAYA RELIEF FUND, be channeled to the Bishop’s House Mamfe, for the assistance of the population affected by the
calamity
